The Guides
Peter
is based in Botswana but has guided professionally throughout
Africa for the past 21 years. He is widely recognised as one of Botswana’s
foremost guides. His interests are extremely varied and his knowledge
on a broad range of diverse subjects is astounding.
Peter has gained a reputation for exploring
remote and previously “unopened areas”.
He is one of a handful of guides who have trekked the mountain gorillas
in all three of the countries in which they are found – Uganda,
Congo and Rwanda. He has also done extensive guiding in Namibia, Zambia,
Zimbabwe, Tanzania and, of course, Botswana where he has been based for
the past 23 years. He has lived in the Delta and knows the Okavango intimately,
having done many unique safaris there over the years.
Peter brings to your experience his impeccable
guiding reputation, his poetic soul and a lifelong collection of bush
tales that he will share with you over the evening campfire.
Steve
has been guiding in southern Africa since 1978.
He has trained aspiring guides across the sub-continent and along the
way he has accumulated three university degrees relevant to his guiding
profession. He is a licensed professional guide in Botswana and Zimbabwe
as well as being a certified specialist guide in Zimbabwe. He has led
research safaris for the World Wildlife Foundation, The JLB Smith Institute
and Washington University. He is also licensed to immobilize wild animals
in Zimbabwe. Steve brings to your experience his reputation as one of
southern Africa’s top walking safari guides. |
