
DAY 1: CAPE TOWN

Welcome to South Africa! Upon arrival you will be met by our meet and assist representative, who will hand over your documents and take you to the 12 Apostles Hotel in Camps Bay. DAY 2: CAPE TOWN

After a leisurely breakfast you'll be transferred to the Cape Cadogan Guest
House. This is situated not far from the famous Table Mountain. The Cape Cadogan
is a stately double-storeyed Georgian and Victorian building that dates back
to the beginning of the 19th century. This boutique hotel is well known for
its comfortable, luxurious atmosphere. The day is yours at leisure. Perhaps
you can take a cable car ride up Table Mountain today. Spectacular view of
the city. There are many restaurants in Kloof Street, just around the corner
from where you are staying, to chose from for dinner.
DAY 3: CAPE TOWN

Some site-seeing options: Cape Point and Peninsula; Robben Island; V&A
Waterfront; Kirstenbosch Gardens. All information is in the brochures provided
with your welcome pack. Overnight again at Cape Cadogan.
DAY 4: CAPE TOWN/STELLENBOSCH
23 September 2004
Your journey today will take you from the “Mother City” to the
spectacular Cape Wine Region. Specifically, the town of Stellenbosch. The
heart of South Africa's wine industry, Stellenbosch is a place of great beauty
and culture that's steeped in South African tradition. The Stellenbosch Wine
Route is arguably the country's most famous, and the Stellenbosch Wine of
Origin area includes 106 cellars - most of which are open to the public. Your
accommodation for the next three nights is River Manor.
River Manor with its National Monument status comprises two historical houses
set in the picturesque Oak-lined "Avenue" across from the Eerste
River, a mere two minute stroll from the village centre with its museums,
street cafe's, restaurants and galleries.
DAY 6: STELLENBOSCH

Another day to explore this wonderful region and taste the world renown wines.
Tonight, perhaps a drive to Spier Wine Estate and a truly South African meal
at Jonkershuis.
DAY 7: STELLENBOSCH/JOHANNESBURG
26 September 2004
A short drive to the airport, and it’s
off to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your
hotel, The Grace Hotel. Situated in Rosebank, 'The Grace' is an ideal choice
for guests seeking a sophisticated city hotel with the highest levels of service
and luxury, as well as that personal charm found only in small establishments.
Tonight, you will be transferred to Moyo’s Restaurant in Melrose Arch.

DAY 8: JOHANNESBURG/MAUN/DELTA

Today, you will get the chance to explore another of Southern Africa’s
beautiful countries : Botswana! Your flight to Maun will have you arriving
just before lunchtime. Here, you will be met by your hosts, Orient Express
Safaris, and directed to your short flight to the Delta. Hidden from the world,
deep within Botswana's Okavango Delta, is the paradise we call Eagle Island
Camp. Situated on the island of Xaxaba and surrounded by Illala Palms, the
camp overlooks a surrounding lagoon fed by the tranquil waterways of the Delta.
The area offers exceptionally high quality wildlife viewing with prolific
birdlife and mammal sightings.
DAY 9: OKAVANGO DELTA

DAY 10: OKAVANGO DELTA/CHOBE

After your morning game activity, depart the Delta for Maun. From here, you
will be flown to the small town of Kasane. Kasane is home to the Chobe Game
Reserve. Chobe Game Reserve’s wildlife roams in profusion and diversity.
Kubu Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights, is situated on the
banks of the Chobe River, in Botswana's warm tropical climate, comfortable
thatched chalets on stilts, overlook a shaded lawn that spreads beneath giant
ebony and wild fig trees to the river's edge. An idyllic setting.
DAY 11: CHOBE

The Chobe Elephant population is the largest single concentration in Africa,
within the confines of a proclaimed Chobe National Park. During the harsh
season the herds migrate south to north and congregate along the fertile flood
plains of the perennial Chobe River. Other major species such as Lion, Wild
Dog, Puku, Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope are encountered in many areas
of the reserve. Enjoy your day!
DAY 12: CHOBE/VICTORIA FALLS
01 October 2004
Transfer today from Kasane to the Zimbabwe town of Victoria Falls. Today,
Victoria Falls remains as evocative a destination as it did to the hunters,
surveyors, explorers and missionaries of the 19th Century. Today, the wanderlust
is the same, the pursuits are slightly different. Your accommodation is at
Victoria Falls Hotel. Set in private gardens overlooking the Victoria Falls
bridge and gorge, this majestic Edwardian-style hotel, a member of The Leading
Hotels of the World, is one of the most famous establishments in Africa.
This evening, enjoy a sunset cruise down the Mighty Zambezi River.
DAY 13: VICTORIA FALLS

The Victoria Falls offer an inescapable closeness to the natural elements.
The towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling
water, the terrifying abyss that separates Zimbabwe from Zambia, the forest
- lined, placid, tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles
lurk. Enjoy a tour of this wonder. Overnight at the Victoria Falls Safari
Lodge. May I suggest dinner at the African Spectacular Boma.
DAY 14: VICTORIA FALLS/MPUMALANGA
03 October 2004
It’s back to South Africa today. Your flight,
SA41 will depart Victoria Falls at 11h45. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, please
make your way to domestic departures. Your flight to Mpumalanga (KMIA) will
leave at 4pm. A transfer will be waiting for you at KMIA at 5:10pm, and will
whisk you away to Cybele Forest Lodge for the night.
Deep in the heart of the forest, you'll find an old hunting lodge called Cybele Forest Lodge and Spa: 300 acres of African paradise surrounded by timber plantations, mountains and meadows. Each of the various suites, cottages and studios has been individually decorated and personalised.
DAY 15: MPUMALANGA

If you wish to explore the area, please let us know and we can arrange for
a day tour to the exquisite Panorama Route. God’s Window, Bourke’s
Luck Potholes and the well-known Blyde River Canyon are the “must sees”
in this area. Overnight at Cybele.
DAY 16: MPUMALANGA

The charming old farmhouse has a wide verandah
where you can sip your sundowners and look out over the magnificent gardens.
Watch the playful monkeys cavorting in the giant turpentine trees. Take in
the cool violet blue of the Jacaranda, the shocking pink of the Tibouchina
and the scarlet umbrella of the African flame tree.Wander down to the large
secluded swimming pool with its comfortable sun beds. Here you can relax and
listen to the creaking of the Bluegum trees in the forest breeze. Breathe
in the heady aroma of Frangipani, Gardenia and Buddleia.
DAY 17: MPUMALANGA/THORNYBUSH

Your transfer will be here to collect you at
around 10:30 this morning. You will be transferred to the Thornybush Game
Reserve, and to your accommodation, Serondella Lodge
Authentically furnished in colonial splendour, handpicked pieces fill the
lodge and its five air-conditioned en-suite tents, enhancing the ambience
and comforts typical of a bygone era. Enjoy your first game drive in this
Reserve, this afternoon.
DAY 18: THORNYBUSH

Enjoy scenic views from the vantage of our elevated deck with an active water
hole in close proximity. Whether it is around the fire in the boma or from
the classically appointed dining room, savour Serondella's culinary delights.

Unfortunately today sees the end of your Southern
African holiday.
You will be transferred from Thornybush to Nelspruit airport in time for flight to Johannesburg and connecting on to your international flight home.
